10 Deadliest Cancers in Men as of 2018

Four top cancer research groups (ACS, CDC, NCI, NAACCR) have recently published the 2018 Annual Report to the Nation on the Status of Cancer.
Overall, men had a 41% higher cancer death rate than women.
Men were more likely to die from each of the deadliest cancers, particularly Esophageal Cancer (4.8x more likely than women) and Bladder Cancer (3.5x).

On a brighter note, the death rate of cancer in men has declined 1.8% per year over the past 5 years.
The decline of cigarette smoking is believed to contribute to the decrease in cancer deaths.
This study was one of the largest surveys of cancer outcomes covering 3.6 million total cases in men.
